A little bit of nostalgia for those who remember Roda as it used to be - one week from tomorrow, for one night only, one of the most popular venues in the village will be in full swing for a very special occasion.
Golden Sand, once the most prestigious & exciting of evening destinations, will open its doors, for invited guests only, for the wedding of Alex & Jane. For those who don't know, Alex from Smiley's Bar is marrying Jane, a physiotherapist from north Wales and the party on the beach will something to remember.
I discovered this today when I walked alongside Golden Sand and it was one of those occasions when you just wish that you had your camera. In the sea outside of the terrace, after a hard day's work getting the old place back into shape, Alex and Jane were enjoying a private hug with just one week to go before the big day.

yes steve ,the old days... ....this july I realised that not much is left of the old "golden sand" area. When we went out for a walk along the beach one night to see the sunset, I saw that all of the old "olivepress" had disappeared. A few years ago it was still there and now all gone... only the entrance at the beach was left ...... Attachments:
