Hi, just wondering if anyone could tell me how much a typical dinner for 2 including a bottle of wine is in Roda? and also how much are alcohol prices such as beer and cocktails? Just trying to work out how much spending money to bring! ;D Thanks, Holly

Hi Holly, typical cost of a main course is 7 - 10 euros, sweet is about 4 euros. Full English breakfast 3.5 - 4.5 euros. Steve is the wine expert, but the draught beer is 2 - 2.5 euros a pint, think the cocktails are 3.5 - 4 euros. Hope this helps. pete.

Hi Holly - The price of a bottle of wine varies a bit but, generally, the better restaurants do not load the price as they do elsewhere. In Roda Park, a full bottle starts at about 5 euros, but there are more expensive wines if you want them. Kostas has some great wines, but I feel that he doesn't promote them enough and most people end up with house wine. This is good quality, but an opportunity missed in my opinion. A half-litre carafe is about 2.50 euros and our favourite, retsina, is about the same. Most restaurants in Roda are fairly similar with their prices.
If you want to know more about Greek wines, then let us know.
Steve

Have just returned from Roda.had a great time and found that the prices in the bars and tavernas very good.We went to the Kind Hearted Place for a meal and am sorry to say did not enjoy the meal,we were really looking forward to eating at the Kind Hearted Place as we had heard that the food was good.In over 22 years that was the first poor meal we have had. Will still be back in Roda next year.

Back to work for me on Wednesday....cant believe that we have been back home a week.Memories if Roda will stay with us for a long time. Have you noticed that about 5pm every night the smell of food cooking seems to waft around the village.I start to think where do we eat tonight.??the portion sizes in most of the restaurants are huge, you certainmly get value for money when you eat in Roda. What will I have for tea tonight....wish I was back in Roda
