Most of us would probably agree that red wine is best at room temp, but what about white?
when you come to roda how do you like yours? is white best served cold?is it down to personal preference or does chilling white wine alter its taste? what do you think.

Hey Gail - I think get it down your neck! Thought you Jocks drank whisky. Isn't wine a tad refined?

Hiya Gail
The most important thing to me is that a white wine needs to be refreshingly cool, So I like it chilled, but I had it in a chilled glass once and that was to cold, so I guess it can be over chilled!!

Me and the missus always have our red wine chilled at home and if the restaurant where we are dinning have only got room temperature wine then we ask to stick a couple of bottles of red in the freezer for half and hour ;D

Red's better at room temperature, definitely (or slightly warmer will do.)
White has got to be REEEEALY cold for me. I've been known to add ice to my white wine to chill it even more than what the fridge has done for me. lol

Hi all, you may be wondering why this post was started well let me explain i was sitting daydreaming about coming to roda next week and i could just picture hubby(robert) and i sitting in nikos family taverna enjoying excellent hospitality, great food, lovely greek music playing in the background all topped off with my favourite tipple a carafe of chilled white wine. That got me wondering how and where in roda my fellow rodaphiles enjoyed theirs different people enjoy wine in different ways in different settings ,how do the locals enjoy theirs do they prefer it chilled like me or do they like it best at room temp?
There's no doubt that there is a great selection of wine to choose from in roda,i always bring a couple of bottles home to remind me of my hols when drinking it.It reminds me of the people and the place so when in roda where are you enjoying yours?i know where i'll be enjoying mine next week.
