Hi Al.............best bet is to wait to hear from Julie & Steve.........if you are on the main road it will take a good 10mins walk to the sea............not so far to the shops etc............like anywhere, I'm sure the Pool prices will be a little dearer, but not that much.........we stayed at The Pegasus one year and really liked it, my husband enjoyed the walk into the village, but a bit too far for me(especially when I wore "high heels" !!! ).........may see you around, we go on the 7th and I will go to the Forum meeting...we will be notified as to what date, time & place, very interesting, Julie & Steve are very helpful to us all....have a great time in Roda, I'm sure you will...Kaz

Hi Alanfmor, John and I have just returned from the Kosmas, it was our 3rd stay there. It is on the Main Sidari rd, there is lighting all the way but no established pavement. We have never felt unsafe walking along the road. The bar prices are on a par with other pool bars. They have started half board this year. The food is delicious if you are going this way, though their full English breakfast is expensive compared to other places. I think this is probably due to they don't want to do it. The owners are 2 brothers with help from their parents and Georges daughter Effie. The cleaner is Christiane and she is a delight and so trustworthy. When we inadvertently left our key in the room, (John talking to her), Christiane found it and handed it into reception for us. The pool is huge, very clean and graduated depth with a shallow child's pool to one side. Some people complain of the noise from traffic but we never have found it too bad. Much better than some accommodation close to the bars and clubs. The walk to the beach I would say 15mins, to the shops 10. There is a new supermarket opened just across the road that carries all you need. The Kosmas gets a lot of return business and has always been full when we are there. So I Hope this helps and you enjoy your stay. Bev.

Hi Al - we will give you as much info as we can, but let's see if others who have stayed there will answer first. We know Christos best, one of the sons you will meet, and we are going to see him soon about setting up a webpage on Rodaonline. Shopping-wise, Spiros has opened a very good minimarket directly across the road from Kosmas and you can get almost everything you need there.

Thanks Bev - hope you had a good journey home. The pavement you mentioned was planned for this year and head man Dimitris was keen to see it go ahead. I guess lack of funds have stalled it for a while.
Best Wishes Steve

Is there an update on the Kosmas apartments at all? or the surrounding areas?
Did I read somewhere about the pools in the resort that you can pretty much use any?

Yes you can use the swimming pools at any of the complexes in Roda - all they ask is that you dont take your own refreshments onto their premises but that you purchase refreshments on-site whilst you are using their facilities - a very fair request.
regards, Kath.

Brilliant and of course that is a very fair request - just in case we fancy a different pool!
