I am not sure if anyone will be interested, but yesterday evening I saw an advertisment on the television about a new Foreign Exchange Card. For details please look at the following link: FAIRFX.COM
It offers a good exchange rate, and an easy access card that can be topped up from your Debit, Credit Card, or direct from you bank account. Negating the need to carry cash. You can top up the card online from anywhere with internet access, or from your mobile telephone anywhere in the world. It offers good exchange rates, probably equal to Corfu, with less or not interest charges on transactions.
Please read the link which will offer far more details. See what you think. It offers good savings on transactions.
Yeiamas, Chris
PS: There are offering €1.1475 today.

Hi Chris, I saw this card advertised a few weeks ago, went onto the website & all looked ok until i checked the exchange rate - over 3 euros per pound less than in the village, a handy and relatively safe option to carrying cash though. Pete.

Cheers Pete. I do not think which ever way one chooses to exchange their money, at this time, they are not going to get a better deal than on the island. But as you said, it is a safe way of carrying money.

Sorry to mention Thomas Cook again - the problem is when someone has a near monopoly, who else can you refer to? They have just announced their 'cash passport' scheme to do much the same thing.

Every morning, Miriam from Dromeas Car Hire & Money Exchange posts the latest rate for that day. We always feel that their exchange rate is hard to beat and the commission rates are as good, if not better, than anyone else. Always better to change sterling here - Dromeas is near the bakery opposite Silver Beach Hotel.

I got €1.1278 (commission free) from LloydsTSB today. I asked for £600, and was given €675 for £598.51.
Is commission and such still be taken on Corfu with these better rates.
