Hi Kaz, even with Miriam's commission you would still be over 20 euros better off - better in your pocket than the post office's don't you think ? pete.

The commission at Dromeas varies according to how much you use their services. Maximum 2%, but regulars and hire-car customers can negotiate.

even if you dont pay comission you get less money.
there is comission because pounds go's up and down every day.
the money from the comission doesn't go into our pocket.

Today - Post Office/ Thomas Cook 1.12 . Thomas Cook has launched a new service for holidaymakers to make currency exchange rate boards less confusing and show comparisons with the Post Office, M&S and banks. It has been said that 'currency exchange has been confusing and deciding on the best store to buy from has not been easy. The changes will allow holidaymakers to make the most of their holiday money as currency exchange will be easier to understand and customers will continue to trust Thomas Cook as they continue to innovate foreign exchange.' As we said before, Thomas Cook is a financial institution by virtue of tourism. In 2008, as a result of buying their euros in advance, they have been making up to 24% gross profit every time they change £100. They then proudly announce that they can offer zero commission - well at 24%, I would think so! And anyway, it's still more advantageous to change your money in Roda.

Hi - ask the visitors and the accommodation owners in the Village. Roda has a problem with large tour operators and the fact that Thomas Cook made the announcement yesterday prompted today's posting.
