Hi steviejay Great to have you on board. There are step by step instructins n how to post photo on the Forum here at the start of the "Photo Gallery" section. As it says there, the easiest way is by using TinypicWe always use it and it allows you to resize at the same time. Looking forward to seeing your photos. Julie

Renovations on the back end sounds a bit like somebody we know who was asked by their architect if they 'wanted steps up the back side' - would you be brave enough to say 'yes'?

Hi there! In the last picture that Tracey put on there is a ramshackle little building on the right of the Coral Hotel. Does anyone out there know anything about this? It has obviously been there a long time. Each year we visit, it seems to sag just a little more. There is a shell of a big building behind this and a wall has been built between the new build and the Coral but this wall seems to have been incorporated into the wall of the derelict house?- shed?- stable? Is there some sort of dispute over ownership perhaps? It would be interesting to know. JackieM

I was surprised how much it had changed when we walked past this year. We stayed at the coral in 1999 before they had a pool... you used to have to walk down a little pathway at the side of the building and use the pool at the Elizabeth Apartments....which was not a bad thing as i would never have discovered Helens tasty bacon butties at the Elizabeth otherwise!

As we understand it, Jackie, the building must belong to the man who built the concrete shell three years ago. Evidently, he built it for his sons as a business enterprise to set them up for the future. Only trouble was, they were both architects, living & working abroad, & they didn't feel the need to return to Corfu. We believe it belongs to the same man who owns Valentino's (the 'Pink Palace'), just across the field at the back. ... of course, it's all gossip! Steve

we had a laugh about this little building a few years ago. My next door neighbour was going to Roda a fortnight after we reurned and she gave us the name of the accomodation she was booked in to. She asked us to take a photo of it so that she could see what it was like. Well, we came across this one and took a picture of it. When we got back we showed her the photo and told her that this was the place she was booked in to but that there was a sign on it saying that they were closed for renovations but would be open shortly! The look on her face was absolute horror! ( cruel or what?) ;D ;D
Thanks for the information on it. JackieM
