Hi Craig & Karen, for me I normally eat at Odysseus, Maggies or Compass (but will be making an effort to try a few more this year), I normally go self catering so breakfast is in appartment but have had good breakfasts at Pirates, Smiley's & Big Ben's. For a drink everywhere's good just make you're way through all of them!!!. Welcome to the forum, sure you won't be disappointed with anything in Roda.

Hi Craig & Karen - Good to meet you on the forum! As you will see already, Roda has lots of good restaurants and after living here for 8 seasons, we have never had a bad meal anywhere in the village. We too still have one or two places still to try (believe it or not) this year, especially with 3 new eating places in the village! We always have an informal get together (FGT - Forum Get Together) every Wednesday at one of the venues from the websites, in the village - I haven't confirmed where it will be when you are here, so keep an eye out on the FGT section on the foum. You've got a good location at Theodores-Fiona's - a lovely complex with beautiful pool and bar etc. It is not far to anywhere from there and Theo will make sure that you feel at home. As for a Scottish breakfast, you are just one year too late! Maggie used to do one but this year she has stopped making breakfasts all together to concentrate on her evening customers. We look forward to seeing you in June and ask any questions you have on the fourm, it's what it is for! I'm sure that you will get more recommendations from members, but to save you time, Compass has been renamed 'Pixida Italiano' and is very highly recommended, but 'Big Ben' has not opened this year. Breakfasts are also available at the new 'Oscars' and Crusoe's Bar near the beach. If it's a quick snack that you want in between all these meals, we have our own little take-away for pies, sandwiches and much, much more - it's called 'The Corner'. Julie ;D

Harbour Bar does breakfasts too - and seemingly they're great. I've never had a bad meal, in Roda, so no matter where you choose, the food will be - great - I'll guarantee that myself! And most places are good for drink. My faves are th Harbour Bar & Crusoes, for the cocktails!

Kalimera Craig, we have been going tp Roda for 3 years and on our way 1 week later than you. We eat at OPA, Drossia, Dolphin. Drinks you can't beat Pirates, Roxannes(espically for the view). There are loads more but they are our favourites.

Hi Craig and Karen., welcome to the forum !. According to my son Danny (who is working at Fiona/Theo´s at the moment) one should definitely try the "clubsandwich" at Theo´s ! I think he said it costs about 4,50 euro and you get a real big one with chips as well... He "challenged"me already to come and have one ...... but I have to wait till middle of july to try one Petra

Hiya Craig and Karen and welcome to the forum!!
If you get a chance try a Gyros Pitta, it's the Greeks version of the Donna kebab just a lot nicer and healthier, I would not eat a Donna kebab here, but my Roda holiday would not be complete without a few Giro's!!!!!

Hi Craig and Karen I agree with everyone that I've never had a bad meal in Roda, and all the previously mentioned places are worth a visit. I would also like to suggest Newport restaurant which is located near Pirates Bar, they serve lovely food. When I lived there in 2004 we used to try and go there for food at least once a fortnight. It's a shame you're missing Maggie's breakfasts but her dinners are amazing, try and leave room for a dessert!! I can't believe Big Ben's isn't opening this year!! does anyone know where Dimitris is working this season? Rach
