We are visiting in a couple of weeks. I am not expecting flash accomodation, but can find no detailed info about these apartments, not even the address, and they are not listed on this website either. Anybody know them? Thanks

Hi Cookie - have you actually seen a photo of Valentino's? They used to be popular, but fortunes change, plans change and now they seem to be open for the peak season only. The story I heard was that, a few years ago, the owner wanted two businesses for his sons, which is very much the Greek way of doing things. He started to build a second complex next to Coral Hotel, and I was told that both his sons then decided they had made lives elsewhere and didn't want his help. Work stopped on the new one and the Valentino's was virtually closed. This is the first year for a while that he has had a UK contract - so hopefully it will work out for him and maybe they will open for longer in 2012.
They are well located and there is a swimming pool & barbeque. They once ran a popular bar where many of the locals went in the evening. Look at the Roda map - they are the horizontal red bar to the right of the 'A' in RODA.

Thank you everybody, I was beginning to be a bit worried that they weren't on any maps we went for a mooch there yesterday, looks very nice. Then got talking to a couple last night on the Boat on the way back fromCorfu Town, who are staying there. They said basic, but very clean and quiet and the owner is very nice, apparently.

Hi Derek & welcome to the forum. Because the season hasn't started yet there are very few places open or owners knocking about yet. Steve is on his way back to Roda after a brief visit back to the U.K. He may be able to tell you more once he is back in the village. As you can see from the posts above, everything was ok last season, they are in a good position for everything, beach, bars restaurants & shops. pete.

I can't tell you much more than Pete has, del, having never stayed there. I believe they are with "Lowcostholidays' but I have no experience of them at all. They are in a good location and there is a pool and a bar - has anyone else stayed there recently? Steve

Hi, I'm searching for an apartment for July this year - our usual has been let We've been visiting Roda for the last 9 years and have walked past Valentino's every year on our way to Elizabeth's. I always though they were closed! Is anyone able to give an update as to what they are like, what size the apartments are etc (desperately need a 3-bed, but it's looking increasingly unlikely!)? Look forward to reading replies

Hi Billb, friends of ours stayed there this year and had no complaints considering what they paid, the apartments are basic but clean, there is a nice pool area with a bar, they are only a short walk from the beach, bars & restaurants. pete.
